Fruitful and changeable composer and pianist, Lukas Foss, died at his home at the age of eighty six. Notwithstanding the fact that Lukas was an immigrant from Germany from the very beginning he was deemed as an essential person in the blossoming world of American composition. He protected the works of his colleagues. Mr. Foss liked to investigate the byways of avant-garde. He concentrated on different methods and digital music, as well as on minimalism and impromptu. While he used one style and another his voice remained distinguished. That was because he didn’t believed to rules and never stuck to those approaches he admitted.
The music of Leon Fleisher, a pianist playing with right hand, is rather popular in United States of America. However, Leon continued giving music lessons and playing piano with his left hand. Thirty years later the musician got back the ability to move the fingers on his right hand thanks to the receiving botox therapy. After recovering Leon released his recordings in 2004. Today he is eighty years old and has released the recording of Mozart’s piano concerts.
